Young hero Naga Shaurya has pinned all his hopes on his upcoming film, 'Ashwathama'. Touted to be a mass action entertainer, Ramana Teja is making his directorial debut with this film. Mehreen Pirzada is romancing Naga Shourya in the film. The makers have promoted the film very well. The movie's trailer too hinted that there is an exciting story in the film. Gana (Naga Shourya) is a carefree guy who leads a happy go lucky life. His sister gets engaged to her boyfriend. When everyone in the family is happily preparing for the grand wedding, Gana's life turns upside down when he finds out that his sister is pregnant but not with her boyfriend's child. After that, Gana undergoes so many shocking and mysterious incidents. What are they? What happens in the end forms the rest of the crux of the story.
Naga Shourya is definitely of the biggest plus point for this movie the actor has Blended well with the character and delivered his career-best performance in the film. It is evident that Naga Shourya has put in a lot of effort for this movie Mehreen Pirzada delivered a decent performance in the movie. Sargun Kaur is a delight to watch on the screen. Satya Akkala's comedy timing is good. Sanjay Swaroop and Surekha Vani justified their roles. Pavitra Lokesh also delivered an impressive performance. Posani Krishna Murali breathes life into his character. CVL Narasimha also performed really well. Kasi Vishwanath delivered a decent performance in the movie.
Despite being the protagonist, Naga Shourya also gave equal importance to other characters in the movie as well and has penned a beautiful story line for this movie. and his screenplay is also really engaging. Director Ramana Teja will reach the expectations with his execution. Though his narration gets fluctuated every now and then, he did a good job in engaging the audience throughout the film. Production values by Ira Creations are rich. Music by Sri Charan Pakala is worth appreciating. Not only his songs but also his background score made the movie even more engaging. DOP Manojh Reddy has produced some beautiful visuals for the film. Editing by Garry BH is clean.
Naga Shourya appeared in a completely different and interesting avatar in this movie when compared to his previous movies. Despite getting a challenging role, he pulled it off really well. Not only as an actor, but Naga Shourya will also keep the audience engaged with his captivating screenplay. The catchy visuals, performances and the BGM are the biggest plus points for this film. However, the second half is somewhat boring when compared to the first half which is filled with entertainment as well as action. The emotional dosage gets increased in the second half and only a few audiences can actually relate to the film. Apart from that, Aswathama has a really good plotline which got executed in a proper way. To conclude, Aswathama is a one time watch Not only for Naga Shourya fans but for all the movie lovers out there.
