There is a fiction town called Amaravathi where there is no clue for a treasure. Everyone wants to discover the treasure and many fights take place for the same. A new cop Srimannarayana takes the charge there and he wants to add his quirky nature to the process of finding the treasure. What did he do to achieve the same? What did he find? How did he end up there? Forms the story of the movie.
Rakshit Shetty is not a known face for the Telugu audiences and only those who follow social media following about him. Rakshit Shetty worked hard to reach this stage and he has got multi-talents. He acted well in the movie and has impressed everyone big time. The way he performed is going to be a master class. His dialogue delivery and screen presence is ultimate. Shanvi is the heroine of the movie and she is good in parts. She is attractive and adds an element to the story. The lead pair is nice on the screen and all the other actors in the movie are okay.
There is a problem with the nativity too. The film has got a lot of good potential for an exhibition of the technical team. Ajneesh Loknath's music is good and his background score is impressive too. The producer also worked well in terms of finances and came up with a neat budget. The camera work is nice and the editing could be been better. Technically, the film is good but it has downsides when it comes to the story.
The story is simple yet looks complicated. One can not easily understand the story of the movie. The backdrop is completely different and it also has got a lot of dimensions to it and the audiences feel a little odd in carrying with the flow. There are too many lags in the film and by the end, we understand that it has got an old story in itself. The scenes are nice but there is no story. Still, it has got the potential to do well at the box-office at Pan-India level, which is after KGF. The film got dragged a lot and one can easily sense that. On the whole, Athade Srimannarayana is a passable flick.
