Harish Shankar slams national media on SPB
Director Harish Shankar has criticised the national media for giving less importance to legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s death. Sharing the video clip of BBC news that covered SPB’s untimely demise, Harish Shankar took pot-shots at Indian media.
“See how the international media has presented SPB’s death news. I feel pity for our Indian media which has useless things to cover and deal with. Nevertheless, it’s the standard of SPB. He was renowned internationally not in gullies,” tweeted Harish Shankar.
That’s absolutely true by the ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ director. Many English and Hindi news channels have streamed the Bollywood drug case wherein several heroines are being grilled while partially covering SPB's death.
This is the sad state of our media which is ironically called the 'Fourth Pillar of Democracy.'
