Minister Nagendra (Prakash Raj) does a lot of crime and he becomes a problem to professor Bharathi (Vijayashanthi) and her family. At this time, major Ajay Krishna (Mahesh) lands in Kurnool to help Bharathi. Why did he come? What help did he offer? What happened in the end? Forms the film's story.
Mahesh Babu is definitely the major plus point of this film. The actor went under the skin of the character and has delivered his career-best performance in this film. It is so refreshing to see Mahesh Babu in a full-length entertaining role and his performance will surely be an eye feast for the fans. Rashmika Mandanna is pretty and promising in the film. Vijaya Shanthi's power-packed performance is one of the driving factors behind the film. Prakash Raj's flawless performance also added more strength to the film. Rajendra Prasad justified his role. Posani Krishna Murali and Vennela Kishore also made their presence felt. Sangeetha, Hari Teja, and Bandla Ganesh's comedy worked out really well. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
Director Anil Ravipudi's pace of narration throughout the film has succeeded in making the audience stick to their chairs. His mark comedy became one of the major highlights of the film. The director has succeeded in handling the story really well and executed it in a proper way. Production values by a Dil Raju and Anil Sunkara are luxurious. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is just average. Only a couple of songs succeeded in creating an impact. However, his BGM, especially in the action sequences, is quite impressive. R Rathnavelu has produced some brilliant visuals for the film. Editing by Tammiraju is clean.
The first 10 minutes of the movie will be delightful for the audience. Mahesh Babu's entry scene came out really well. The entire first half is extremely entertaining and showcased Mahesh Babu in a refreshing look after a long time. The cute chemistry between Mahesh Babu and Rashmika is also beautiful to watch. Especially, the Train episode is too good and will definitely make the audience laugh so hard in the theatres. When compared to the first half, the second half is also equally engaging and entertaining. However, the mass action sequences in the second half, pre-climax and climax are also handled decently. Performances, storyline, and comedy became the biggest are the plus points of the film and there are no major visible flaws in the film. To conclude, 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' is a must-watch movie not only for Mahesh Babu fans but for all the audience.
