Theatres to open in August month

It’s been over 50 days that theatres across the country are closed due to the Corona virus lockdown. Though the central government has issued a few relaxations in the lockdown, theatres are yet to be given a permit for opening. There are reports that the theatres may not open anytime soon.

Coming to the Telugu states, the Telugu Film Industry biggies are constantly in touch with the respective governments and holding discussions every now and then. Yesterday a team of TFI led by Megastar Chiranjeevi met Telangana cinematography minister Talasani and got approvals for post-production works. There happened a discussion about shootings and opening of theatres. Minister Talasani told the Chiru and his team that he would discuss this with CM KCR and take a call.

The latest reports about theatres opening is, the Telugu state governments might open them in month of August. However, the theatres will be allotted just three shows a day and the seating arrangements is likely to change.Coming to the multiplexes, a plan is being worked on to prepare guidelines. However the audience and the industry people need to wait another three months for the theatres to open.
