Venky Mama Review
Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya acted together for the first time in the movie Venky Mama. The movie is directed by KS Ravindra. The film released today. Check out the review.
Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) is born with Shri Krishna Amsa in his horoscope. After the sudden death of his parents in an accident, his uncle Venkataratnam Naidu (Venkatesh) raises him. But Venky's father Ram Narayan (Nassar) is a superstitious person and dislikes Karthik because of his horoscope and always tries to keep him away from his son, Venky. One day, Karthik joins army without taking the permission of Venky. Devastated Venky starts searching for his nephew. Why Karthik joined the Army? Di Venky and Karthik got reunited? What happens in the end? forms the crux of the story.
Victory Venkatesh's energetic performance added more strength to the movie. Especially his comedy timing worked out really well for this film. When compared to Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya doesn't have much scope to performance but the actor has delivered a decent performance and will impress the audience. Rashi Khanna looked absolutely stunning in the movie and also the scenes between Rashi and Naga Chaitanya came out really well. Payal Rajput and Venkatesh's chemistry also worked out well in this film. Prakash Raj acted naturally and blended well with the character. Rao Ramesh and Parag Tyagi delivered decent performances. Brahmaji, Posani Krishna Murali and Sampath Raj justified their roles. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
KS Ravindra has came up with an interesting screenplay for this movie. The director has succeeded in giving both Naga Chaitanya and Venkatesh's characters an equal scope for performance and showcased the relationship between them in a beautiful way. We can see that the director has handled the story really well and executed it properly. Production values by Suresh Productions and People Media Factory are very rich. Music by SS Thaman is wonderful. Keeping the songs aside, his amazing BGM is captivating. Cinematographer Prasad Murella's camera angles and visuals are really good. Editing by Prawin Pudi is clean.
The movie starts off on an interesting note and the entire first half is filled with entertainment. The comedy scenes worked out really well. The romantic scenes will also impress the audience and the first half is really enjoyable. The interval twist is also good. But things change in the second half as the story becomes extremely slow and emotional the sentimental scenes failed to work out well. To conclude, 'Venky Mama' is aimed at the mass audiences.
